Founded as Boxmore Plastics in 1961, the 120,000 square foot factory in Ballyconnell, County Cavan, Ireland, is one of the largest suppliers of plastic packaging in Ireland, specializing in the manufacture of blow molded and injection molded plastic containers and closures.

Pretium Ireland has introduced an integrated bottle and closure solution for dairy packaging up to 3 liters. The patented tethered cap solution includes a special tapered neck design of the primary package that engages with the tethered cap component for reliable pepgrformance. The tethered closure solution complies with a 2019 European Union directive that requires all single-use plastic beverage containers to have caps and closures that remain attached to the primary package during and after use. Tethered caps became mandatory in the EU from July 2024 for all plastic beverage containers up to 3 liters in capacity.

Our tethered cap/closure system offers a compliant total package to the dairy industry. Our patented solution is available for all standard bottle sizes in the dairy market up to 3L, with a consumer-friendly solution. Dairy farmers welcome the innovative design because it uses existing wipe-on technique for cap application and requires no capital investment.

Pretium’s line of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) vitamin packer bottles is unmatched in the European market. We offer sizes ranging from 55ml to 750ml with both continuous-thread and J-cap neck finishes of 38mm, 45mm and 53mm. We have custom color capabilities to support your brand across every bottle size.

We understand nutrition and wellness brands want and need to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable packaging practices. Our PET vitamin packers can be manufactured in up to 100% rPET using EU-certified resins (including certified Ocean-Bound post-consumer resin).

In addition to our traditional packer line that replicates the gram weights produced in the United States, our Etten-Leur plant has also pioneered a line of lightweighted PET packers. Most of our traditional packer bottles are available as light-weighted options, reducing material consumption by 13% to 42% over conventional bottles. These bottles are also available in recycled PET (up to 100% rPET).
